Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles: a manual of elegant knitting techniques and patterns
Now in its 11th printing!
Introduced in May, 2001, the innovative Socks Soar became a best seller in its first month and for several years was one of the three best-selling knitting books (among nearly 1,000 others) on Amazon. Needle manufacturers had to scramble to produce enough 24" circular needles to meet the sudden demand from sock knitters eager to give up their double-pointed needles. Now knitters everywhere happily and easily knit socks, sleeves, hats, gloves, etc., on two circular needles.
Socks Soar remains a best seller (currently in its tenth printing, with over 65,000 in print), offering a thorough discussion of the simple technique, including how to "translate" traditional, double-pointed-needle sock patterns to the two-circular method. Still the only knitting book with a full collection of two-circular needle sock patterns, it also is the only source of directions for the Turned Toe© method of knitting toe-up socks.
